Augsburg have been struggling for consistency since the start of the season. After terrible streaks of results, they out of no where record a 3-0 victory at home against Mainz early last month, but they’ve failed to followed up with good outings with the 5-1 mauling in Freiburg making it third Bundesliga defeats on the bounce. They remain at 15th place and just two points ahead of the danger zone. Although Manuel Baum’s side has been very efficient this season, their defence is one of the worst in the competition and it brought them into the trouble. With just 2 wins in eleven matches played at their ground, shouldn’t expect them to pose major threat to the Bundesliga leader.
Borussia Dortmund are sitting on the top of the table with three points ahead of Bayern Munich. They manged to end their streak of three draws in a row with a 3-2 victory over Bayer Leverkusen last weekend. They’ve lost just once away from home this campaign but they must improve on their recent performance on the road following two consecutive draws at Nurberg and Frankfurt. The visitors have many talented players especially upfront and expect them to cause many problems for the defensively fragile host.
Borussia Dortmund are strong favourites here, they should keep their three points advantage over Bayern Munich as they continue the push for the Germany ultimate silverware.
