Spain – La Liga

Real Madrid – Barcelona

It’s the El Clasico yet again for the 3rd time in less than a month and the 2nd time in less than 5days. Los blanco will be all out to seek their pound of flesh after being knocked out of the Copa del Rey by their rivals. At half time the full time scoreline seemed highly unrealistic as Real had created the better chances and we’re looking to have kept Messi quiet for a bit. At full-time shots count still show that the host had a good grip on the game with 14-4 shots in their favor.

Barcelona’s aim to finish with a double is looking really possible now as they still have a 6 point advantage even with a loss in this game. The reverse fixture ended 5-1 in their favor although this Madrid team look to offer a better contest compared to the last time.

Real Madrid did have the larger chunk of chances and did deserve at least a goal for their troubles. However, they haven’t been overly impressive as they have now lost 4 home games in 10 across all competitions.

OVER 2.5 goals

England – Premier league

Tottenham Hotspur – Arsenal

Tottenham have lost 2 games in quick succession, a loss to Burnley and most recently away at Chelsea. These losses have left their hopes for a title challenge in shambles. They have slipped up and now have a 9 point gap from the league leaders and 8 away from Manchester City. The season is already looking to finish on a disappointing note but a North London Derby win is always welcome.

Their home form might have taken a down turn but Spurs have won 5 of their last 7 home games against Arsenal.
The visitors have managed just 1 win in their last 7 away encounters, losing 4 times and shipping 8 goals against Liverpool and Manchester City. Unai’s men will be heading to Wembley in a high after that 5-1 thrashing of Bournemouth.

Another key point is the fact that they have found the net in all but 1 of their away trips so far. With Kane back and Arsenal still holding up at 4th place this game does hold promise or maybe Arsenals away woes will continue.

Anybody to win and over 1.5 goals

Portugal – Primeira Liga

FC Porto – Benfica

Porto have seen their last to games in the league end with victories and without a goal conceded. However, their midweek game against Brags could leave them a little tired out coming into this fixture.Benfica will be looking to explore this possibility.

The visitors win against Chaves only helps to intensify the atmosphere of this game against FC Porto and a win for the visitors would see them leapfrog over their host into 1st place.
The host did cruise to an easy 3 nil win over Tondela on Friday night as household name Pepe opened scoring. Torres doubled the lead for his team and Herrera scored to wrap a convincing win.

Benfica on the other hand did justice to their game as they thumped Chaves by 4 goals to nil with Rafa Silva opening scoring. Seferovic, Felix and Jonas in no particular order all got their names on the score sheet too as they dominated the game all through 90mins.

Home win or draw and under 3.5 goals
