England – FA cup

So this fourth round clash of the FA cup is between to of the tournaments most successful sides. Let’s see who comes out victorious. This is undoubtedly the standout clash of the draws made. Arsenal haven won just 4 of their last 9 games come into this knockout fixture looking quite sketchy. Their inconsistency in terms of the results has been a major talking point and also a source of frustration for their supporters. They haven’t shown much positives to indicate that they could get better in weeks to come.

The perfect highlight of their disappointing performance to the season so far would be their defeat against West Ham before gaining momentum against Sarri’s Chelsea inside the space of 7 days. It’s also worthy of mention that the Gunners have had most of their poor performances this season on away fixtures. The 2 nil win over the Blues was their 3rd win on their own turf in 3 matches and 6th win in last 7games. Factually, only 2 teams in the league being Manchester City and Spurs have been able to leave the emirates with all 3 points.

Manchester United

The Red devils have a really difficult task in their hands on Friday night despite recording 7 wins from 7 games in all competitions. Old Gunner seems to have the right sauce for his team as the confidence in Old Trafford is now growing. The teams sure looks like a new one as they have shown real signs of improvement with their results thus far.

Manchester United did change their squad considerably in the last round of the cup clean due to fatigue. That lead to a relatively poor game against Reading at the theater of dreams. Prior to that their win over Spurs was clearly out of good fortune and once again last weekend Brighton almost stole the show.
Fridays FA cup clash is between to of England’s unpredictable teams. Both teams do have the capability to produce something special at any point. That being said, both teams are quite consistent on the goal market.

Key point

74% of Arsenal’s matches have seen both teams find the back of the net this season. Manchester United on the other hand have a similar ratio of both teams scoring with their been an awesome 78%. These numbers are the 1st and 2nd highest in the both teams to score ratings in the league.

Similarly, over 2.5 goals have been scored in 61% of Arsenal matches while the red devils have seen 78% of their matches go over 2.5. Furthermore, no fewer than 3 goals have gone in in the last 6 meetings of these clubs.

These stats leave this fixture dripping with a huge potential on the goal market. The defences of both sides have kept just 4 clean sheets each in 23 league appearances this season we expect that trend to continue here.

Even with the huge potential on goals it’s hard to pick who wins this one, but the gunners having an impeccable record at home this season, it could all boil down to outscoring Manchester United.

Both teams to score and Over 2.5 goals
