Welcome as a we look at match day 6 fixtures of the Europa league. Read on for match previews and predictions.

The reverse leg of this fixture in October saw Sevilla go into half time with the advantage all thanks to an own goal. The host team in that fixture returned in the second half quite rejuvenated and went on to win 2-1. That game could have easily been a draw but the Russians wanted it more and got the desired result.

Three of sevilla’s last five matches have seen both teams finding the back of the net and same goes for Krasnodar in 4 of their last 5matches. However , Sevilla would be without star man Pablo Sarabia due to suspension.Sevilla should get the job done considering how they have fared in their last 2 games at home winning on both occasions.

Home win or draw over 1.5 goals

The visitors already showed their supremacy over their hosts in the 1st leg of this fixture winning comfortably . Rangers however have a really poor record on away matches. They have won just 2 of their last away encounters and still haven’t registered a win away form home.

Their host haven’t been in better form either, with just two wins also from their last six games at home. They have also been goal shy scoring just 5goals in their last 6 outings . Rangers have scored double that number in same time duration but have been poor on the offense against good oppositions.

Under 2.5 goals

Match day one saw Besiktas defeat Sarpsborg and the visitors have been poor ever since. They did lose the reverse fixture despite having an OK performance but their other 4 matches have been generally poor. Another downside is their inability to keep a clean sheet.

The visitors haven’t been impressive themselves, their performance hasn’t been splendid. They did defeat Besiktas but it wasn’t a comfortable nor convincing win. Group I host some of the most inconsistent teams of the competition.
In their own backyard Besiktas could get the job done against a Malmo side that have a great attacking presence. Hence this game should see both teams finding the back of the net.

Both teams to Score

The host have been in red hot form coming into this game and have been unbeaten in  ten games. Winning 8 of those and against great opponents with Leipzig, Hearts and Aberdeen amongst their victim list. Celtic have an attitude of stepping up when they play against great opposition and Salzburg is such a team.

The visitors are unbeaten in their last 15 trips away from home but here they come up against a team who haven’t lost at home in 14 games. They have conceded five goals already during the group stages this year and this sure looks like the trend to be repeated in this fixture.
Its difficult to say which way the pendulum could swing as both teams look capable of outclassing the other.
