English Premier League

Burnley – Liverpool

The host head into this game making it 7 games without a win after their loss to Crystal palace over the weekend. 5 of the 7 games also ended in defeats, these results have seen them fall deeper into relegation waters. They had consecutive victories against Bournemouth and Cardiff but that’s now old news as they find themselves in 19th position going into this busy December.

Klopp’s reds are just 2points shy of Manchester city and have recorded 11 wins from 14 games so far. They are still yet to be defeated in the league so far. Liverpool are officially the best defensive side in the EPL with just 5 goals conceded all season.

Away win

Manchester United – Arsenal

The red devils have now dropped to 7th in the league table following their draw over the weekend away to Southampton. They are also 5points shy of the top 5 and are also without a win in their last 3 games. It’s also worthy to note that the home side have only won 50% of their home matches this campaign.

Emery’s gunners are now unbeaten in 12 matches since their consecutive losses to Chelsea and Man city at the start of the season. They are the second highest scoring team at the moment with 32 league goals so far. Arsenals attack has looked very promising in recent weeks with Aubameyang scoring in 4 out of 5 away fixtures.

United currently have a host of players on the injury radar and Arsenal would be looking to capitalize on this. At the moment Manchester united don’t look like a team that can stop these blazing guns.

Over 2.5 goals

Tottenham Hotspur – Southampton

Spurs recorded their 4th defeated of the season in a 4-2 thrilling encounter with Arsenal on Sunday evening. Despite this stat they find themselves in a good position on the table having clinched wins in the other 10 matches. They currently sit in 5th position behind Arsenal on goal difference, they have also recorded just 2 losses at home this season but those came against worthy oppositions (LIVERPOOL , Manchester city).

Southampton looked poised to thump Manchester United over the weekend. They found themselves in the driving seat after 2 goals in the opening 20 minutes, however they couldn’t hold on for long as United staged a 1st half come back to see the game end as a draw at full time. Recent results of this nature has led to the sack of Mark Hughes the Southampton manager.

Home win or draw and over 1.5 goals

Wolverhampton – Chelsea

Wolves had a pretty impressive run at the start of this campaign, 2months on the story seems to have taken a different script. They are now winless in 6 league matches with just 1 game ending in a draw. At the moment they are afloat relegation waters but with the array of fixtures in the next coming weeks, their 7-point cushion could evaporate.

The blues have also suffered a turn of events in the past weeks although nothing compared to Wolverhamptons ordeal.

Sarri’s men are now 7 points shy of reigning champions and any slip up could further increase the margin. Chelsea have now won 4 of their 6 away matches this season.
With Wolves in ability to win games despite the good record against the top teams we do see them losing this one.

Away win or draw and under 4.5 goals
