Real Madrid extended their unbeaten run to seven games during the weekend when the Spanish giant outclassed Atletico Madrid by 3-1 leapfrogging the rivals to the second position in the tight Spanish league. They have scored 20 goals in the past seven games and will surely be confident of netting at least twice against their not so great defensive Dutch opponent.
Ajax have shown off as very tough rivals to beat and we’ve seen them bag three wins and three draws in six Group E outings, finishing just two points behind Bayern. They’ve shown character and now have a lot to build on but Erik ten Hag’s men are in for a very tough challenge in a home contest which could already untangle it, as they boast no great consistency of recent. The mental state of this team isn’t good at the moment. Prior to the 1-0 defeat at Heracles during the weekend, the host conceded six and four goals against Feyenoord and Heerenveen consecutively.
This game surely promised to be an efficient clash considering both side won’t sit back and Madrid almost certainly will capitalize on Ajax recent struggle.
