ANALYSIS AND MATCH PREVIEW
Cardiff sit at the second from bottom in the league on just 2 points after six rounds of games. They are yet to record a win and they only managed to score 3 goals while conceding 14 in that 6 game run. Though it must be said that their last 3 games were against Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City, games they were not expected to get points from anyway. Though the season is still young, they have to know that their only hope of survival is getting a result against the teams around them and Burnley is a likely target.
Burnley had not set the world on fire either unlike last season. A very slow start to the season saw them lost 4 from 5. That changed last weekend though when they hammered Bournemouth 4-0, which was a fantastic result and that should serve more than a morale boosting tonic coming to this game.
Cardiff simply have to go for this one, a win would see them leapfrog Burnley, a defeat would see them 5 points adrift. There’s no easy games in the premier league but newly promoted sides have to use home advantage and try pick results off the teams around them.
If Cardiff push forward which i believe that’s what they’ll do, Burnley will certainly get plenty chances and as they proved last week, are capable of causing problems when given the chance.
All in all, i believe the visitors have much in them to at least avoid a defeat against the struggling newly promoted Cardiff.
