WEEK 6 ; CORNER MARKET PREDICTIONS
Once again it’s time to enjoy the English premier league, thanks to the midweek European activities we didn’t have to wait for too long. Due to the unpredictable nature of the game we decided to provide some other value tips in alternative markets.
Below are some tips for the corner market for some games in the English premier league.
Leicester vs Huddersfield
Huddersfield makes the trip to king power stadium with hopes of a win in their quest for their first victory. Despite their dominance with aerial balls, there is a very low probability of getting the goal via a corner. The foxes have averaged a total of 9.6 corners per game, while conceding just half of this number (4.8) themselves.
Huddersfield only away game against a team in the bottom 14had just seven corners. Just two of their last five matches have seen over 10 corners.
PICK
UNDER 10.5 corners total corners
LIVERPOOL vs SOUTHAMPTON
Southampton’s oppositions have been booked on an average of 1.5 cards per game. This makes Liverpool to get booked at 1.40 a pretty good pick. In the corner market, the away side have conceded just a total of 9 corners in their previous 2 away games. They have also conceded an average of 4.2 corners per game this season.
On the other hand Liverpool have only managed an average of 5.2 corners per game this season. Only managing to his 6 corners when they play teams in the bottom half of the table. Southampton have only conceded more than six corners in just one game so far.
Another value bet would be backing Liverpool for the under corners market.
LIVERPOOL UNDER 6.5 CORNERS
MANCHESTER UNITED vs WOLVES
The red devils have won over six corners in only one of their five games so far this season. And on Saturday they host a Wolves side who have conceded more than five corners twice. While the host have averaged five corners per game this season and wolves have conceded 4.8 corners per game. Backing Manchester United to win under 5.5 corners at 1.80 looks an excellent pick.
In the total corners market old Trafford has seen a total of 14 corners in the last two games, while wolves have seen a total of 18 corners in their last two away matches. That being the case we would be backing a total of under 10.5 corners in the game.
PICK
UNDER 10.5 total corners
Cardiff vs Manchester city
The citizens are quite renowned for their set piece prowess and this has seen them approach the corner flag more often than most teams. They have accumulated a total of 42 corners over 5 games with an average of 8.4 corners per game they certainly look good to acquire more here. They have also averaged a total of 8.29 ccorners when playing away to teams in the bottom half. Meanwhile, Cardiff’s only game against a top six side left them conceding nine corners.
Backing the citizens to win the corner market looks like a very promising pick.
PICK
Man city over 7.5 corners
BRIGHTON VS TOTTENHAM
The south coast would be the venue of this late fixture on Saturday evening and there might be scarcity of corners in this game. The Amex stadium has seen exactly 8 corners in each of the two games this season. They have also averaged a total of 8.8 corners per game. Spurs also haven’t hit a high as they have averaged just 7.8 corners per game. More so, Brighton’s six matches at home against teams in the top six last season resulted in fewer than 9 corners.
PICK
UNDER 9 CORNERS @ 1.70
