Partick Thistle claimed their first points of the league campaign last weekend against Ross County and will be hoping to build on that and get points over the coming weeks to avoid early tals of relegation. It seems highly unlikely though as they face resurgent Rangers side 2 wins in 2 after dropping points against Hearts and Hibs. Partick have not won a game in 10 premiership games and have lost 8 of those. They really need something to change for them and quickly too if they wish to replicate last season 6th place finish.
Rangers got back to the Premiership last season after a 4 year absence and got a 3rd place finish. They made a number of signings this summer and were hoping to give Celtic a run for their money just like old times but they have faltered a bit in recent weeks. They started the league season with 2 wins in 2 before losing to Hibs at home and then drawing with Hearts but they have gained track after winning their last two against Ross County and Dundee scoring an impressive 7 goals in those two matches. The confidence seems to be back and they have a perfect opportunity to make it 3 wins from 3 against a team they have beaten in each of the last 10 h2h games.
Rangers will be in confident mood here after having 5 straight away league win with Partick having 5 straight away league defeat coupled with the fact they have not dropped a single point against them in 10 matches.
I see Rangers as the clear favorite to bag the 3 points here.
