A REFLECTIVE SUMMARY.
Reflecting on 2021/22 pools season, you will agree that it was one of the most disappointing pools season in the recent past.
This season witnessed punters bankrolling bookmakers, with it saw genuine fear amongst the betting public.
But can this troubling situation be explained? The answer is yes.
1. IS FOOTBALL POOLS BETTING REGULATED?
THE BETTING AND GAMING ACT OF 1960 AND ITS PREDECESSORS .
THE FOOTBALL POOLS DID NOT FALL UNDER GAMBLING LEGISLATION, BECAUSE IT WAS CLAIMED TO BE A COMPETITION OF SKILL RATHER THAN CHANCE.
