Waalwijk finally return to winning ways last week after going four consecutive games without a win. The winles streak saw them drop from the play-off spots, but last week’s 4-1 thumping of Maastricht away from home will provide the necessary confidence, they can remain in touching distance with the Play-off spots. We must also remember the host had a remarkable starts to the year, with seven straight wins including, victory against tough opponents like Den Bosch and Jong Ajax. The Attack unit are doing quite well with almost 2 goals scored per game, but the defence needs improvement(43 goals conceded in 29 games).
Helmond are languishing second from bottom and are still searching for their first win this calendar year. They did managed to record a good performance last week when they held Go Ahead Eagle to a 1-1 draw. The draw can be said to provide little in terms of respite considering they’ve lost all last 8 games prior to the game. With the poorest attack in the league( 25 goals scored in 29 games) and one of the weakest defence, can’t see them doing much against their host here.
Waalwijk are booming with confidence after 4-1 victory at Maastricht and considering the visitors have failed to score in all of their last three games on the road, a comfortable home win look very likely here.
