England – Premier league

Leicester – Manchester United

The midweek fixtures saw the foxes take a point away from Liverpool at Anfield, it was a well deserved point. Although its always a positive sign when one plays with the league leaders and makes them drop points. However, that draw stretches Leicester’s number of matches without a win to 4. They have only been able to take maximum points in just 1 of their last 5 matches. Leicester have also been defeated at the King Power Stadium in 2 of the last 3 matches it has now become a routine as the side seem to do better on away fixtures.

Solskjaer’s united came from 2 goals down to secure a draw against Burble in midweek. This result continued United’s btts percentage for this season. In 79% of United’s matches both teams have been able to find the net and this is the highest ration in the league.
The red devils have managed just 3 clean sheets away from home in 12 outings. It is also worthy to more that they have scored in every away match this season.

Away over 1.5 goals

Manchester City – Arsenal

City host Arsenal in Sunday evenings clash as both look to take a sting hold on their respective positions on the league table. Pep’s team have a very weak grip on their title defending antics as yet again lost to a resolved Newcastle side at St. James Park . Liverpool’s result seemed to have given City a lifeline but Pep’s men couldn’t capitalise.

Their efforts to keep up with the Reds have been severly disrupted by their inability to keep opponents off the score sheets. City have managed just 2 clean sheets in their last 11 fixtures and this could raise concerns. On a brighter note, City have scored 40 times at the Etihad in 12 matches winning 11 of that number.

Their visitors who havent been so consistent especially on away fixtures have a thing for always getting on the score sheet. They last won an away fixture in the FA cup against Blackpool but prior to that, their last triumph came against Bournemouth in November. Arsenal front duo of Aubameyang and Lacazette have been able to register themselves as threats against almost any opposition. Arsenals backbone remains the main source for concern.

Anybody to win and over 2.5

France – Ligue 1

Lyon – Paris Saint Germain

The home team find themselves in 3rd position at the moment and have won each of their last 3 matches. Two of those wins came against relegation threatened teams though. They have sn attacking line that really hasn’t lived up to the billing this season and their defense has been quite poor. They have managed just 3 clean sheet in their last 9 games and we know what PSG are capable of when giving the opportunity. Lyon have seen just 3 wins from their last eleven games in their own backyard.

The away team and current league leaders are in their usual menacing form. With 8 winds from their last 9 matches and a loss to Guingamp which they corrected 10 days later with a brutal 9 goal thrashing. They have scored 18 in 4 games and would be hoping to continue the trend here.

Paris have been in impeccable form at home, winning 14 of their last 16 games at the Park Des Princes. They always dominate and have added a new trend of scoring at least thrice in each of their last 11 matches. This game however sees them play away from home let’s see if the trend comes to play on opposition territory.
