England – FA cup

Newport county – Manchester city

Manchester City demolished a weird looking Chelsea side at the Etihad, scoring 6 goals in that game to make it 3 wins on the bounce in all competitions. Looking at City’s goal scoring form Newport would be clearly threatened. City did put 9 goals past Burton Albion as they have now scored 33 goals in their last 6 matches.

It’s very difficult to see the result going in Newport direction.
The home side have found themselves at the fairytale end of results so far. They defeated Leicester earlier in the competition and repeated the feat against Middlesbrough in the reverse leg of their FA Cup 4th round match. That being said they now come up against Manchester City a side who have shown no trace of awful form in recent weeks. And the expected result would be for the citizens to come out of the one victorious.
Taking Manchester city’s last outing into consideration where they totally outclassed fellow big boys Chelsea scoring 6 goals to gain all 3 points, that result put their unbeaten run on 3 matches.

Away win both halves

Spain – LA liga

Barcelona – Real Valladolid

Barcelona come into this fixture a little bit under pressure after seeing their last 3 matches across all competitions end as draws. They home team would be desperately looking to secure all 3 points in this game and what better way to do that than against a relegation threatened side. Valladolid would be fighting as well but won’t be hold much positives for this game despite putting Real Madrid at full stretch earlier in the season.

It took all of 80 mins for Madrid to break the deadlock in that particular encounter but Valladolid aren’t in such spirits recently. They still lack slot of creativity in the middle of the park and thus resulting in very few chances in the final third of the pitch. So leaves them creating chances that would not be converted due to a relatively flat attacking firepower.

For Barcelona this is my the case, as they boast of being in possession of the league’s 2 highest goal scorers in the persons of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. However neither of the duo could do anything about the goalless draw in their last game as a disciplined Athletic Bilbao team refused to give in.

Home win and under 3.5 goals

Italy – Serie A

Atlanta – AC milan

This game is a very huge clash in the race for a top four finish. The champions league spot is really not an easy one to attain all across Europe. Four Italian giants just a point apart and this game could be a huge turning point in the sequence of events. AC Milan who find themselves in the 4th place position have demanded that Gennaro Gattuso secures a champions league spot for the team and this weekend they visit Atlanta who happen to be in 5th place.

Atlanta happen to be one of the toughest sides in the serie A at the moment considering current form. They are only 2nd to Juventus in number of points accumulated across the last 8 fixtures. They also defeated the copa Italia champions and this happens to be their first edition over 5 years. The home side are just a point shy of top four and are clearly contending for something the cops Italia

The visitors, AC Milan are also in great form thanks to the contribution of new signing Krzysztof Piatek. He has now scored 4 times in 3 games as the club recorded another win away in Calgari Last weekend. Gennaro Gattuso’s men have also been impressive defensively but we do see them conceding against Atlanta.
