England – premier league

Chelsea – Huddersfield

Sarri’s men would be looking to bounce back from that devastating loss to Bournemouth during the week. Chelsea suffered their worst defeat in 22 years despite having possession of the ball more times than Bournemouth. The loss happened to be Chelsea’s 3rd loss in 3 away fixtures, the goal difference on the night was so much that Arsenal climbed over them to secure the 4th position. Luckily for Sarri his next opponents find themselves at the bottom of the log and could be the best opponent for his team right now.

Huddersfield have lost 10 of their last 11 matches in the league, this poor run of form leaves them with 12points away from safety with just 14matches to the end of the season. They have just 13 league goals in 24 games this makes them the lowest scorers in the league without doubt.

That being said Chelsea do have a very poor defence at the moment. Also, the terriers ability to nick a goal on away fixtures, I do fancy them getting one past the Chelsea goalie.

PICK

Over2.5 or both teams to score

Tottenham – Newcastle United

Spurs battled their way to a 2-1 win over Watford during the week after going behind in the 38th minute. It wasn’t until the 80th minute before Son-Heung Min and LLorente put 2 goals in to help spurs secure 3 points. That happened to be the 2nd time in 6 outings that Spurs had managed to score more than one goal. Pocchentino’s men are really struggling at the moment and it’s even worse at Wembley. The north London club have been able to score just 18 times in 10 fixtures this season.

The magpie’s pulled a surprise win over title contenders Manchester city and would be heading to Wembley with high spirits. They moved to 14th position on the league table after discipline and dogged defensive play payed off. Newcastle have now won 2 consecutive home matches and their troubles have mostly been on away encounters. In 11 away matches played so far, Benitez’s side have only won twice scoring just 9times across all 11.

With Tottenham still have a relatively average attacking setup and Newcastles record against the big 6, this game is shaping up to be one with a very low goal scoring outcome.

PICK

Home team total goals (under 2.5)

Everton – Wolverhampton

Everton’s form has been nothing but inconsistent in recent weeks, they have now won 3 and lost same number in their last 6 fixtures. They won by a single goal when they visited Huddersfield and that win wasn’t an easy one. Things have been much better at Goodson park though unlike on away encounters. In front of home fans, the Toffees have been defeated just twice in 9 fixtures. Everton’s defense is relatively poor considering that they have kept just 2 clean sheets in13 matches.

Wolves dispatched west ham by 3 goals recording their biggest win since gainig promotion this season. They have managed just 2 clean sheet and both of those games took place at familiar ground (Molineux). Away from their backyard, wolves have conceded in 9 out of 11 away fixtures. Considering how both teams like to come forward and their poor defense, backing both teams to score should be a good bet.

PICK

Both teams to score
