England – Premier League

Huddersfield – Manchester City

The home side managed to grab a point when they went away last week in Cardiff but that hasnt changed the situation, the remain in the huge battle for survival in the premier league.

Huddersfield come into gameweek 23 affixed to the bottom of the table and they currently need 8points to get to a safety net. Their home record isn’t one to bring much hope either, fans of the terriers have seen their team win just once this season with 8 other fixtures at the John Smith’s Stadium ending in defeats and that includes their last 4 games.

City hope to keep Liverpool on their heels as the aim to close up on the league leaders. The visitors come here in the back of 19 goals from just 3 games. Last season league champions have won 17 of their 22 matches this season scoring 59 goals in the process. They have however dropped points in 4 of their 10 away fixtures but that should be the case in this fixture.

OVER 2.5 goals

Fulham – Tottenham Hotspur

Fulham have had a seemingly improved spell under new manger Claudio Ranieri. However, that loss to Burnley confirms that there is still a lot of work to be done if they are to avoid being relegated this season. So far, fulham have only managed to defeat only teams who are part of the relegation struggle. They defeated Burnley way back in August before managing to get past Southampton in November. Their last match of 2018 saw them defeat Huddersfield who were in awful form.

Spurs aren’t amongst the first teams to come to mind when one thinks about beatable teams, but that could all change. Harry Kane has been confirmed not to be in action till March as he is injured just as star man Son Heung-min heads out for the Asian cup. 47% of Spurs fossils have come from the duo so scoring nigh be a little mountain in this fixture. The visitors have 6 wins from 8 matches and are yet to draw a game this season and with Fulam seeing less than 3 goals scored per game since Claudio took over this could be a really tight call.

Italy – Serie A

Napoli – Lazio

The home side are 12points adrift of their visitors and are looking really good for the Champions League qualification. Napoli picked up a win last weekend, one which sent them into the last 8 of the Cops Italian.

Ancelotti’ss team seem capable of getting 2 silverware whilst finishing in fine form on the domestic scene. The league campaign has been a really impressive one and has seen them stay unbeaten at home. They have also won 80% of their home games.

The visitors have been nothing but disappointing all season. They recently ended a 7 match winless run. Lazio have missed out of the champions league in recent years and we’re narrowly left out last year. With the looks of things they would have to settle for less yet again as they failed to take advantage while their rivals were in poor form.
