anybody to win and over 1.5 goals

Manchester United – Reading

The new man at the helm of affairs at the old Trafford, Ole Solskjaer is having a fairytale run as he now has 4 wins in 4. Against Newcastle they did have a hard time trying to get past a rugged backline. In the end the scoreline read 2-0 , a rare cleansheet achieved. The red devils now have 4 wins in 4 scoring 14 goals in the process.

Manchester united are still yet to be tested under the new man in charge . An example of such a test comes up as the take on Tottenham next week at Wembley.
The visitors come into this game with their form hanging in the balance. They suffered a huge defeat on Tuesday at home as Swansea thrashed them by 4 goals to 1 in their own backyard. They are now without a win in 10 matches. In terms of on the road performance, they last won a match as far back as November and have had 5 wins and 5draws ever since.

United would be looking to pounce on this team as they hope to give good accounts of themselves nextweek.

Home Win and over 1.5 goals

Chelsea – Nottingham Forest

The home side completely dominated the saints on all fronts but could not break the deadlock as the game ended goalless. A combination of poor finishing coupled with resolute defending and some brilliant saves from the goalies. Southampton rarely made it into opposition goal territory thus recording just 2shots on target. For Southampton the draw was a good result but for Chelsea it was a disappointing result.

The last meeting between these sides saw Chelsea run away with a 5-1 win. Among the goal scorers were Kenedy and Batshuayi who opened scoring under 20minutes. Chelsea who have recorded 4wins, one draw and one loss from their last 6 games should waste no time getting past these opponents.

Home win both halves

Blackpool – Arsenal

The gunners had a very difficult festive season as the lost woefully to Liverpool. However, they kicked off 2019 in emphatic style as they saw off Fulham at the Emirates. That was a much needed win to help get some confidence back into the squad. Going forward, the visitors are very productive but their backline has been the source of their problems.

The host of Saturdays tie failed to score when the played Sunderland on Tuesday. However, this is not a common occurrence as they have scored in 14 of their last 18 matches. And now they come up against an Arsenal side that are yet to keep a clean sheet away from home.
