It’s another edition of match preview on another Sunday on the football calendar across Europe. Read on for match previews and prediction tips.

Newcastle – Wolves

The magpies head into this clash after once again getting back to losing ways. They did get a draw at home to west ham which will be seen as a positive coming into this game. Newcastle are currently on 3 wins from 5 games and find themselves occupying the 14th position. However, they are just 4points away from the drop zone and would be hoping to climb further.

Wolves on current form seem to be at a better place than their host and that win in midweek is a big plus. They shocked everyone as they came from a deficit to grab all 3 points. This happens to be the first win for the visitors in as many as 6games. Wolves have had an ok season so far but haven’t been impressive against seemly weaker opposition.

Under 2.5 goals

Mainz – Hannover 96

Our host have really stepped their performance and this has had a resultant positive effect on their form. With 3 wins and a defeat to Dortmund in 4 games, one can applaud their efforts. Their main problem has been goal scoring and this is why they are still stuck in the bottom half.

The visitors happen to have one of the worst backline in the Bundesliga and have conceded 28 goals so far.

However, they also have the attacking prowess to nick a goal against almost any opponent. They have now lost 3 of their last 4 outings and this fixture looks to bring more doom.

2-5 goals

Huesca – Real Madrid

The host find themselves glued to the bottom of the table and still look like they are on course to record more damage. On the overall, their general approach to matches haven’t been all bad but they have no hunger for goal scoring. Over 80% of their home matches have ended in under 2.5 goals.

Real Madrid had a very poor start to the season but since the appointment of Solari, things seem to be looking positive. This match doesn’t have the attributes of an easy steal, but with Madrid winning 7 of their last 8 matches I do see things going their way.

Real should grab all 3 points but the host are quite attentive to their defense after the humiliation from Barcelona.

Away win

Ac Milan – Torino

The home side registered an important win last time out despites Parma’s early lead. They would be looking for a consecutive win here to be able to stay ahead of Lazio. A lot of teams have shown great zeal to make the European cutoff and Ac Milan are on course. Gattuso has been able to help his side have a glimpse of making in into Europe despite injuries.

Torino also look well setup to make it to Europe next campaign as they now sit 6th on the table. Prior to this season they have made attempts at contesting in Europe but it sure looks like it could happen. The team seems to be more balanced with a great mix at the back and in front of goal.

Both teams to score
