Welcome to week 16 of the English premier league and as usual, we would be putting the spotlight on some interesting fixtures. Read on for match previews and prediction tips.

Leicester – Tottenham

The home side have done just about enough to countinue an unbeaten run as they managed to hold out for a 1-1 draw. That game made it the 6th time in a roll without Leicester facing defeat. The fixtures have also been quite helpful as their opponents so far are below them in the table. However, Leicester haven’t been so impressive against the big 6 and have lost to Manchester united, Arsenal and Liverpool already.

Tottenham look like a team who are getting back to their peak despite the slow pace of results . Spurs lves in 3rd position after their midweek win over Southampton. They are the only top 5 side with the most losses. But also boast of being the only side yet to draw a game.

Away to win either half

Chelsea – Manchester city

Chelsea have suffered a negative surge of results in recent weeks thus hampering their already slim chance at the title. Sarri’s men have won just 1 of their last 4 matches. Their wins so far have come against teams situated in the bottom 6 of the table. To their credit however they still remain unbeaten at Stamford bridge.

Guardiola’s men are not slowing down, during the midweek fixtures, they defeated Watford to make it 13 out of 15. With just 2 points between them and Liverpool, with the win over Watford making it 7 matches with consecutive wins.

Anybody to win under 4.5 goals

Bournemouth – Liverpool

The cherries managed to get past Huddersfield despite the poor turn of results they have had in recent weeks. That 2-1 win in midweek saw them climb to 7th with Everton ahead of them on goal difference. Despite the losses they have suffered they have shown just how impressive they could get this season.

Liverpool showed they had no plans of letting Manchester city slip away after they came from behind to win against Burnley away from home. That win helped them stay abreast of city with a slim 2points separating the sides. The reds remain unbeaten and would be hoping it stays that way when they visit the vitality stadium.

Both teams to score/ over 2.5 goals

Arsenal – Huddersfield

Arsenal extended their unbeaten run to 13 premier league games after a less than impressive display against Manchester united. It was a game they could easily have won but once again their defensive frailty came to the fore. Another source for concern is the now growing list of injured players with Rob holding the latest addition to that list.

The visitors despite a positive turn of events in November still look deep in troubled waters, with just 2 wins from 15 premier league games so far. They have also conceded 26 goals this season and thus find themselves just a point away from the relegation zone.

The home sides result so far are largely thanks to their attackers but at the back, the defense has been all over the place. Arsenal have managed just 2 clean sheets all season

Home win and over 1.5 goals
