Sunday’s Edition : Match Preview

Welcome to Sundays edition of football match preview across Europe. Read on for tips and predictions.

ITALY – SERIE A

LAZIO – AC MILAN

Lazio have some strong results at home coming into this game, they claimed important wins over Spal and Marseille in their own backyard. However, it could be an entirely different story when they face a big side. This game is an important decider as to who makes into the top four spot.

Milan would be making this trip with a number of absentees in their squad due to injuries. Higuaín is still on suspension due to the red card he was charged with against Juventus. Their defence also looks out of sorts.

Milan have so far lost against teams above them on the league, let’s see how Gattuso manages this one.

PICK

LAZIO DRAW NO BET

ENGLAND – PREMIER LEAGUE

BOURNEMOUTH – ARSENAL

Bournemouth have been nothing but impressive at home so far this season, with just one loss at home so far. Last season they lost just 3 of their 16 at home in the premier league and one of the wins recorded was against the Gunners. The cherries have really been in excellent form and have picked up 20 points from 12 premier league games already.

Arsenal sit 4 points above their host on the table and have to get themselves out of this winless run. The north London club have now drawn 4 of their last 5 matches and 3 of those were league games. Injuries to both Lacazette and Aubameyang could be a real cause for concern for Unai Emery coming into this game.

With Bournemouth’s impressive form at home and Arsenal’s injury studded frontline, let’s see where the pendulum swings to.

PICK

Both teams to score

WOLVES – HUDDERSFILED

The host have now found themselves in the bottom half of the league table despite their great start to the campaign. Their last game saw them get a draw off Arsenal at the Emirates and that result could be a real confidence boost. Despite being on a 4 match winless ruin Wolves are not looking in any danger of falling to the relegation zone.

Huddersfield have also recorded important wins against fulham and a draw against west ham results that could help their momentum ahead of this game.

Their last win on an away match came as far back as February against West Brom and wolves aren’t an easy side to beat especially in their own backyard.

PICK

Wolves win/draw and under 4.5 goals

SPAIN – LA LIGA

VILLAREAL – REAL BETIS

Villarreal’s manager would be at the edge of his seat now, seeing how Vigo sacked their coach who is ahead of him on the table. Sunday’s host earned a draw last time out against Rayo as they failed to threaten the opposition in that encounter. The yellow submarine is still yet to win a game at home and only newly promoted sided Huesca have picked up less points in their own backyard.

Real Betis come into this game on the back of a well-deserved win over league leaders Barcelona at the Camp Nou. They became the first team in 15 years to score 4 goals in a league game at the Camp Nou. However, they do need consistence to secure their Europe league status.

Betis have now defeated Milan, Sevilla and Barcelona. Villarreal are in for a real fight.

PICK

Over 2.5 goals
