After yesterday’s UEFA nations league matches kicked off, we saw some teams live up to expectation. Today more matches will be featured on this preview section. Read on for previews and predictions.

Fixtures and Previews

Croatia – England

These two sides are in a fight to keep away from finishing bottom so as to stay in the top tier of the UEFA nation’s league. Spain took Croatia to the cleaners last month and England would be looking to exploit the cracks in their defence. The hosts have also failed to keep a clean sheet in as much as six games. However, they have also scored in seven consecutive home matches, their defence would be the main course of concern.
England was beaten at Wembley recently by a new look Spain, this is far from the kind of result the three lions want. They last won a competitive game against the Argentines in 2002. The UEFA nation’s league provides a platform for them to upgrade that portfolio.

Austria – Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland was unlucky of two sides when they played their opener against Bosnia. They, however, followed up that loss with a 3-0 win over Israel in their own backyard. However, the next couple of fixtures would be quite difficult encounters.
The hosts would be quite disappointed with the results of last month’s matches. Against a resilient Bosnia side, they did see their form disappear, before that encounter they were on a run of 8 wins out of nine games. This match would feature two teams looking to feature in the next European championship.


Both teams to score

Greece – Hungary

The reverse fixture saw Greece defeated by Hungary in a quite thrilling affair a month ago. Greece comes into this game looking for both a win and revenge. They would be able to move into 2nd position ahead of their guest which only a win can present them.
Hungary took all three points and would be looking to repeat the feat. Both teams have however won one and lost one of their last two games. The away outfit would be looking to maintain their position in group 2. Greece did dominate the last game but was unable to provide an equalizer.


Greece Draw no bet

Moldova – San Marino

Moldova hasn’t been known to show poor form. After a draw at home to Belarus, they look to be in good spirits considering that this game offers a much weaker opposition. This competition offers a real-time test for teams as they tend to face beatable opponents.
The visitors aren’t anything near threatening, having lost 23 straight matches ahead of this trip. It’s hard to see the game going their war. It should be smooth sailing for the home side, San Marino has lost to nil in 90% of their games so far.


Over 2.5 goals

Belgium – Switzerland

The red devils were amongst the top scorers in the just concluded Russia 2018 world cup and were able to finish third. They have one of the best squads in the world. Scoring goals have never been an issue. Putting seven past two opponents on away trips last month. They should be able to put a couple past the Swiss.
Switzerland looked really impressive in their recent home win against Iceland but suffered defeat in England in a friendly encounter. After scoring five during the group stages of the world cup their goals dried up, which lead to the existing. They were also impressive in their opener in the nation’s league and would be looking to make a statement here.


Belgium win and over 1.5 goals
