Even though the top leagues in Europe are experiencing the international break, the professionals are not resting. In this article, we would be featuring the African nation’s cup qualifier, the UEFA nation’s league and some very interesting international friendly games. Read on for more insight into those fixtures.

UEFA Nation’s League

France – Germany

the french after winning the world cup at Russia look to be hunting for another major honour to add to their portfolio. With four points from two nations league openers, they look set to become the winners of this maiden edition. If they do get a win in Paris, that would help them in securing the top spot and help them qualify for the semis.

The visitors are in the process of building their team after a very poor world cup outing at Russia. Last time they won since existing that tournament was a 2-1 win at Peru. Just last weekend they lost to the Dutch and this result could see them drop out of the top tier of the league. The Germans are having a poor run of form and shouldn’t really be able to trouble the French.

PICK

1st half under 1.5 goals

Kazakhstan – Andorra

Group 1 already looks settled with group leaders Georgia acquiring all 9 points from three fixtures. They certainly look set for promotion and might just go all the way to secure a place at euro 2020.
Kazakhstan and Andorra each have 2 points with no wins to their name. Kazakhstan will be the more bitter of both sides as they did show early signs of improvements during some friendly games. With 2 draws away at Andorra and Latvia, they look like they could take maximum points in the reverse leg at their own turf.

The away side beyond all expectations did win against Hungary during the qualifiers and have shown some positives ever since. They seem to be heading towards the light as they also have 2 draws just like their host. Andorra has tightened things at the back compared to years past. So this game shouldn’t hold many goals.

PICK

Under 2.5 goals

Armenia – Macedonia

This match features two teams who would be in contention for the top spot in their group. The visitors have a 100% record so far and would be able to stay atop of the group if the other fixture involving Gibraltar ends on level terms. A new format sees at least one team from group D qualifying for the Euro 2020 and they could be that team.

On the other hand, Armenia seems to be heading for doom. Since their narrow win at Liechtenstein on day one, they have quickly lost two in quick succession to Macedonia and most recently Gibraltar. They have only managed a win in 8 international games while their visitors have suffered just one defeat in their last 14. Lossing by a narrow 2-1 scoreline to Spain. The last time they lost an away fixture was way back in 2016 against the Spaniards too. I really can’t see Armenia getting a result here.

PICK

Macedonia Draw No Bet

Republic of Ireland – Wales

The Irish were totally dominated by the Danish in Saturday’s game so coming into this game they are not really a side to fear. They both played a barren draw when they met in 2017 and this game seems to be shaping up to have the same result. Ireland has just one win from their last eight games. The group looks very tight and the Irish might not be making it to the top spot. They are at the bottom of group B4 and are very much in need of a win.
Wales would have to make do with star player Bale as he nurses an injury this means they would be looking to play the defensive card. A loss would condemn the Welsh to relegation.

PICK

1st half draw

Norway – Bulgaria

The top two teams in group C3 come up against each other in this clash. These are in a race to secure a place in the playoffs for the euro competition. The host has kicked off this campaign on a high and things are definitely looking up. With the way they are going, they could make it to the second tier of European football. With their run of form looking quite impressive, they would be hoping to hold their own against Bulgaria.

Norway has won six of their last seven encounters and will be hoping to keep things that way. Their only defeat was in the reverse leg of this fixture which they lost 1-0. With Bulgaria not having a very impressive away record, the home side would be desperate to avenge the result of last month.

PICK

Anybody to win over 1.5 goals

INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY

Brazil vs Argentina

Even though its, a friendly game we know these two sides have a history of making every game count.

Brazil did crash out of the just concluded world in the quarterfinals to Belgium. However, Tite’s team has now won 23 of their last 29 matches and that is with the inclusion of Saudi Arabia. After that whitewashing by Germany in front of home fans in 2014, the team seem to be back on track. With such a momentum, they could go all out when the Copa America takes centre stage next year.

However, for the Argentines, they would be looking to put their poor world cup woes behind them. The coach has left out his big names and it seems to have been quite impressive. They have had comfortable wins against Guatemala and Iraq and a deserved draw with fellow Americans Colombia. Past encounters between these two have seen low-scoring affairs and the trend could easily continue here.

PICK

Under 1.5 goals in first half

AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS QUALIFIER

Libya vs Nigeria

Libya sits in third place with 4 points from 3 games, winning 1 drawing 1and losing to Nigeria in their last match at Uyo where they were thrashed 4-0. the host won their first h
game at home to Seychelles comfortable and will be looking to get something from this game if they are hoping to have a chance of qualifying.
The Super Eagles lost their opener to South Africa but have responded well since that defeat they beat their host comfortably and would be looking to cement their place at the top of the group with another win here. The Libyans did show that they could also hold their own In the previous encounter. This match would not be a stroll in the park for either side.

PICK

Away Draw no bet
