Clermont have had a decent start to the season and after a poor opening three games were they collected just one point they are unbeaten in their last 5 collecting 11 points. They have been very impressive when playing in front of the home crowd as only rampant Metz have left here with three points this season, they have lost just one of their last 14 home games and looking back further they have lost just 5 of their last 26 games league games on home soil.
Ajaccio on the other hand come into this off the back of two poor results, a 4-1 hammering at Brest, they then gave bottom club Nancy their first three points of this season in a 1-0 defeat. Like a lot of French clubs they often suffer from travel sickness and their record away from home is terrible, 10 defeats from their last 14 games( just two wins) and with just 4 wins from their last 24, it’s going to be a tough ask to take something from this game against a side who are one of the form teams in the league and who are strong at home.
Clermont are unbeaten in 9 of their last 12 against Ajaccio. We’ve seen three or more goals in three of the last four meetings between these sides, we should be in for similar scenerio today. Considering all these stats, backing the host not to lose in a game that will produce at least two goals is a solid banker pick here.
