ANALYSIS AND MATCH PREVIEW

Galatasaray have netted a a huge 12 in their last two wins against Bursaspor and Kardemir Karabukspor. Fatih Terim’s men have thus established themselves as main candidates for the silverware. They do have the pole position being lock on points with Istanbul Basaksehir at the top of the standings at this stage (better goal difference) and it’s really hard to see them slip today against another bottom-half opponent Konyaspor.

The trip to Istanbul comes at the worst possible moment for the relegation strugglers who have once again dropped into the danger area after losing last two league outings. Even though Konya signed two Super Lig stars Adis Jahovic and Samuel Eto’o, they were just unable to create in the final third of late.

The team led by Mehmet Ozdilek did not score a single goal in defeats to Akhisarspor and Yeni Malatyaspor and it’s really hard to see them arrest such slump in form just against the table-toppers.

The host are obviously massive favourites after recent wins. Furthermore, Cimbom have been impeccable in front of the home crowd lately and they will come into this off the back of 13 wins and a draw in last 14 home matches in the competition.

The two sides have met each other just less than a month ago in two Cup clashes and Galatasaray have bagged six goals in these two games.

  • Galatasaray have scored 8 Goals in their last two home Games in the league.
  • Konyaspor have failed to keep a clean sheets in any of their last 12 matches.

This will be a one-way street from the very first whistle and we would be shocked to see anything else but another comprehensive victory for the host.
