The Celtic faithfuls are still buzzing right now after their incredible win at Rosenborg in the third qualifying round of Champions League. They are now a single step away from the group stage of the elite competition. They are obviously massive favourites given they have won 34 and drawn four of their 38 matches in the last term of Premiership.
James Forrest on Tuesday took the most of the opportunity to start such an important match for the Hoops by making all the difference. He netted the solitory goal in their tie with Rosenborg at Lerkendal Stadion.
Celtic have a deadly lineup of strikers who will certainly be able to exploit the obvious holes in the Jam’s defensive line. Brendan Rodger’s star man from the last season, Moussa Dembele, is still not completely fit, but the Hoops have plenty of alternatives in the final third.
Hearts ended their competition in the Betfred Cup in the group stage after an embarrassing run and back-to-back losses to Peterhead and Dunfermline Athletic.
Ian Cathro thus has plenty of headaches ahead of the visit to Celtic Park against by far the strongest attacking team in the country and can’t expect anything else but Celtic dominating the game from start to finish.
The current quality difference between these two sides makes it obvious that the home team will win this clash pretty convincingly. So, I’m going for Celtic to win by 2 or more goals.
