ANALYSIS AND MATCH PREVIEW
Lillestrom went on a bad spell in April and may which had put them in the bottom half of the table but with their recent back in form collecting 10 points from possible 15, they’ll surely be motivated to continue on that front. They’ve now jumped to the 10th place with not many points to catch up with the top 5.
This is a match with a lot of value, specially for the hosts. A win today will give them a total of 24 points, and they can pass Stabaek (5) on the table. They are in great form, standing with 3 straight home victories and coming from the impressive 3-3 match away vs Sarpsborg (3). In their last 6 matches they have scored 15 goals and at home they stand with 4 wins, 4 defeats. Defender Amundsen are suspended, also captain Kippe are reported doubtful.
Stabaek are coming from 2 straight wins. Last match they impressed with a 2-0 win vs Brann (2) at home. Before these 2 wins though, things didn’t look good, a lot of goals conceded and 4 straight losses. They are standing with 3 wins, 1 draw and 3 defeats in their away games this season. Stabaek are capable of getting goals scored here, for sure, but their defence won’t stand a chance against Lillestroms attack and physical strength, if we look at previous matches. The teams met back in June, ending with a 2-4 win for Lillestrom.
This a match which will surely produce goals, with two teams with their main quality up front. Also, both defences aren’t very good, and chances should come for both teams. Therefore, over 2.5 goals is best approach here.
