Manchester city will walk into this game knowing fully well a win will all but guarantee their European participation next season and considering the visitors form, i dare say even whitewash is on the card at etihad tonight.
Manchester city last match ended in a home victory in favour of the citizens albeit a controversial one when a late Riyadh Mahrez penalty kick was disallowed by the referee for the ball hit both legs before it went in. But in all honesty, the citizens deserve the three points after dominating majority of the game.
Westbrom fans would probably be happy that the season is coming to an end due to their recent awful form which has seen them lost five out of the last six games and managing to score twice in all these games. It’s no surprise when the bookmarks mark them as huge underdog in this clash.
Even more worries for the visitors is their away form coming into this game. They are winless in their last seven matches away from home. While they’ve managed to draw four games in this period which are against the lower side in the table with the goalless daw at Manchester United been the only positive result. They’ve lost heavily to other top sides away from home.
The last time Manchester city lost at home was as far back as early December when the then unstoppable Chelsea record 3-1 victory and since then the citizens has won seven out of the eleven games played at the Etihad stadium.
All in all I expect Manchester city to win this game by two or more goals.
