Anderlecht have been handed the opportunity to begin the defence of their league title when they travel to the newly promoted side Royal Antwerp. I don’t think the trip to Antwerp will be a smooth ride especially when you are meeting a side as clinical as Antwerp but their overall quality should see them get something from this game.
Antwerp earned promotion to first division A with 29 from 14 games played as they won 8 times, draw 5 and lost 1. They were able to score 27 goals and 11 conceded. It will be interesting to see how they will fare against a top quality side like Anderlecht
Anderlecht were crowned the Belgium Division A champions after 30 rounds having only lost 5 matches and have won 4 of their last 5 matches in all encounters.
While we cant rule out the possibilities of both side getting on the score sheet, Against a newly promoted side, can’t see Anderlecht losing their first match of the season.
