For today’s banker pick, we are hopeful of Moldova getting the better of poor travelers Andorra.
Moldova host Andorra in a low-profile Group H tie later this afternoon, understandably, the host have been marked the firm favourite to clinch a vital win at Chisinau stadium in Zimbru. The winner of the game will likely only determine the fifth (second from bottom) spot in the group as it’s hard to see any of these two sides harming teams such as France, Turkey, Iceland or even Albania.
Moldova currently hold the rock-bottom due to the goal difference as they shipped four goals in each of opening two defeats to France and Turkey. Andorra had a much easier schedule, but they did little o cause any troubles to the likes of Iceland (0-2) and Albania (0-3) so far.
Whilst Moldova had a decent run in the Nations League where they took nine points in six matches (group with Belarus, Luxembourg and San Marino), Andorra claimed only four points in six outings against Georgia, Kazakhstan and Latvia).
Moldova should win here, but they’ve shown just too much frailties a the back recently, so can’t trust them to keep clean sheet against any team right now.
