Today’s pick will come from the Austria Bundesliga where Salzburg will be the overwhelming favourite against St Polten.
Salzburg already sealed the Bundesliga title for some time now but that doesn’t stop them from giving their fans good games. They’ve won all of their last four scoring at least 2 goals. Last outings was another 2-1 success this time at Sturm Graz following back to back 2-1 winners against LASK linz and Austria Viena, that is three 2-1’s victory in a row. This is the last game of the season and one will suspect they’ll want to end the season in front of the home crowd with a bang.
St Polten 1-0 defeat last time at home against LASK Linz made it four defeats on the bounce. It’s been an average season for them, but it seems that the season is simply too long for them and it’s taking its course from bad to worse. They are one of the few teams that will be so glad the season is coming to an end. Having failed to win any of they last 8 games, asking them to have a good game here against the Champions will be daunting task to say the least.
