Degerfors fell short of our expectations yesterday as they were defeated by Dalkurd(first away win) in front of the home crowd(1-2 final result). It was a shocking result considering the stats prior to the game.
Looking to make quick return back to winning ways, we’ll be looking at the Norway NM Cup clash between Strommen and Bodo/Glimt.
Bodo/Glimt and Strommen both played in the Norwegian second tier football league last season, but the host has now gained promotion back to the Eliteserien league and there is now even wider quality difference between this two sides.
Bodo’s Eliteserien campaign got off to a flier as they’ve won five of the nine games played so far. Though they recorded their second defeat of the season last time against Brann(1-2). They sit at the fourth spot at the moment which is quite a decent start for a newly promoted team.
Strommen on the other hand had a poor start to the new season at the OBOS Ligaen. They sit at the 14th spot with just four points in eight games played so far. They are still winless as all the four points was as a result of four draws.
The head to head in their league campaign last time saw Bodo/Glimt dominating both legs in a 4-3, 6-1 triumph. Even though this is a Cup game, the quality difference between these two at the moment in time is just too big. There’s nothing to suggest the host put up a stiff challenge considering their recent form. The visitors are the massive favourite here.
