FC Koln will be looking to continue quest for immediate return back to the German top tier football league and if their last 4 games is anything to go by, Markus Anfang’s side will definitely be playing their trade back in the Bundesliga come next season. Since their 1-0 defeat at the hand of table leader Hamburg away from home, Koln have been absolutely lethal in front of goal, scoring huge 18 goals total in four consecutive wins. Their chance of making it five wins in as many games look very big as they welcome relegation struggling Madgeburg to the  Rhein Energie Stadion later tonight.

Magdeburg 1-1 draw last time at home against Union Berlin makes it their eight consecutive games in the league without a win. They’ve taken just 11 points from 16 games so far as they sit third from bottom coming into this clash with promotional contenders. They took only three points from last eight league affairs. They made a managerial change in November appointing Michael Oenning as the new head coach, but the German manager has not done much to shift team’s fortunes since taking charge.
