This weekend, domestic leagues all across Europe resume hostilities and it’s starting early on Friday evening. On this match preview edition, we would be looking at the championship, Ligue1, La liga, and the German Bundesliga. Read on for betting tips and match previews.
ENGLAND – CHAMPIONSHIP
IPSWICH – WEST BROM
The host continues their fight to stay above relegation waters as they entertain visitors West Brom to Portman road. Ipswich has just 1 win after 17 matches which have left them stuck in the bottom of the league table. They have plenty of work to do if they have to get their season back on track.
West Brom would be looking to continue Ipswich devastating run as they look to chase another three points. The visitors have had their own share of disappointment lately. However, they did end a four match winless streak with a 4-1 win over the league leaders.
With such a win at the back of their minds, I don’t see Ipswich surviving this game.

FRANCE – LIGUE 1
LYON – ST. ETIENNE
Lyon did finish 3rd last season and so far this season the results have been encouraging. Their back line is the main cause for concern though as they have been none to concede a lot of goals. They have had some good results also with the trumping of Marseille been top of that list.
The visitors have gotten 17 points from the possible 24 so far and have some notable wins under their belt also. St. Etienne have a pretty decent record on the road which would have to see them put all in as they face a Lyon side who are unbeaten in six home games.
Both teams are in good scoring form and with the lapses in both defenses, this encounter should be an interesting one.

SPAIN – LA LIGA
LEGANES – ALAVES
The host is having a not so good season since selling Gabriel Pires who is arguably the club best player. They have had a host of coaches trying to pull them up with none achieving success. current manager Abelardo will have to take solace in their displays at home which has been encouraging.
Alaves are having an incredible season as they look to take the top spot once more this season for at least 24 hours. Their last Friday night game saw them defeat Vigo and that win coincidentally moved them into 1st place. The visitors have been able to avoid defeat in 75% of their league games this season and have 6 wins from 10 trips.
However, the bookies are still considering them as underdogs, and this tag is what has been very useful.

GERMANY – BUNDESLIGA
BAYER LEVERKUSEN – STUTTGART
Leverkusen has been very inconsistent all season. After their loss to Leipzig, stats show that they return to action with just one win from six outings. Just wins from the Europa League and the DFB Pokal seem to take our minds off their second worst start to a Bundesliga campaign.
The visitors have had any real shot at having a boost of confidence so far this season. They have one win from 11 fixtures, and this has left them stuck to the bottom of the log. A win against a newly promoted side doesn’t really count for much and their fixture isn’t getting any easier.
Looking at both teams, it’s easy to see why they have struggled. Both teams are amongst teams with the most conceded number of shots on target. It should be an end to end action in this encounter.
PICK
Both teams to score
