International Break :Match Previews

Here are predictions ahead of this weekends UEFA Nations League/ international friendlies clash on Saturday. Read on for our match preview and free betting tips.

International Friendly

AUSTRALIA – SOUTH KOREA

The host failed to give a good account of themselves in what would be considered as a tricky group at the just concluded world cup. They lost two and drew one of their games in the group stage. The only win recorded since that tournament was a 4-0 win over Kuwait. Australia are in a better position based on head to head record but the Asians are unbeaten in their last 5 games.

South Korea have a number of absentees from their squad coming into this fixture. Top on that list would be Tottenham’s forward Son Heung-min who has been on point with 23 goals so far. However the away side has been in great form since the conclusion of the world cup.

Both teams should be able to find the back of the net as it looks to be a really close affair.

PICK

Both teams to score

ARGENTINA – MEXICO

Argentina will look to build on their confidence as they come up against Mexico. They would be trying to get themselves ready for Copa America after a disappointing world cup outing. Their poor performance has brought about a resurgence in the camp. Lionel Messi would be unavailable for this game, let’s see how they fare without him.

Mexico look to move past local based players as they look to arraign some real talent plying their trade overseas ahead of tie. After the world cup at Russia turned out to be disappointing, that poor form hasn’t really changed in recent games. Having lost four of their last five friendly games, it would be quite possible to see them lose once more.

PICK

Home win

UEFA Nations League

ITALY – PORTUGAL

Before their win over Poland, Italy were at the brink of getting relegated. A win over Portugal would see them have a chance at the top of the group. Roberto Mancini’s main aim however would bet getting his team back to the top of European football. This match would prove to be a real test as one doesn’t come up against top oppositions often.

The visitors would be without star man Cristiano Ronaldo once more as they might look to struggle without him. This team looks really young and have managed a couple of good results so far but can they withstand the Italians?
This encounter is a decisive one as the race to the top has been narrowed down to just these two, let’s see who takes maximum points.

TURKEY – SWEDEN

Sweden’s relegation to the lower tier of the nation’s league might just be confirmed after this game. They have not really been the same team that made it to the last eight of the just concluded world cup. Despite being at the bottom at the moment they could top the group if they win their next two games.

The host look likely to follow up their win against Sweden with another win here. Their recent form shows that they could get another deserved victory here. And a home win isn’t really far from reach.

PICK

Home win
