Liverpool and Manchester City lock horns in a battle of who’ll top the premier league table going into the international break.
Liverpool have had a very busy past week. First, the reds were knocked out of league Cup with a 1-2 defeat against Chelsea, then they managed to get a draw against same Chelsea in the EPL. A 1-0 defeat at Napoli in the Champions league was added to the list. It’s surely a poor week which has somewhat tainted a perfect start of the campaign for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
Manchester City managed to snatch a 2-1 winner at Hoffenheim during the Mid-week Champions league clash thanks to David Silva late goal. The Citizen are now on a four-game winning streak, after beating Cardiff and Brighton in Premier League and Oxford in League Cup beforehand. City will hope to build on such records and get something from this game, but it’s fair to say the home side have a lot to build on in head to head clashes!
Even though the Reds have earned four consecutive wins over their rival, recent results shows they are not invincible.
Both teams will be looking to get the maximum points and considering the weapons in their Arsenal, it’s hard to see both sides keeping each other out for the full 90 minutes. Both teams to score should be considered a banker pick here.
