AIK are enjoying a very successful campaign as they still haven’t lost in 16 rounds played so far. They are sitting on the top spot along with Hammarby both on 36 points. They are productive in the final third and their defence is the best in the competition. Also, itmust be said that the host are in a streak of four consecutive victories and they want to stay on the course after this match. The hosts allowed just two points to their rivals when playing at Friends Arena.
Elfsborg meanwhile can not be proud of their recent results as they are struggling in the bottom half of the table. With three defeats in a row and only 16 points won, they are just three points above the red line.
Jimmy Thelin’s side has severe troubles in finding the back of the oppositions’ net and although their ambitions at the beginning of the season were related to the battles for continental competitions, the visitors should be fully focused on avoiding the relegation.
