Jagiellonia were Polish runners-up last season as they finished 3 points below Legia. They will be looking to build another great campaign and 3 points against Lechia later this evening will set them on the right path. They’ve had a mixed results in their warm up games but a 4-1 victory against Romanian side Dinamo Bucuresti will be a huge confidence booster coming into the first game of the season. Ireneusz Mamrot’s side has been pretty productive last season, however their poor defending in the finish of the season costed them the top spot.
Lechia on the other hand had a poor season last term as they barely managed to keep their heads above the water. At the end, they finished three points ahead of red line thanks to the run of three games without a defeat. Their defence has been one of the worst in the competition, while their head to head clashes are pretty efficient.
Jagiellonia are favourites in this one and we should be able to see another productive clash since the visitors are no mugs when it comes to scoring goals too. All in all, backing the home team not to lose in a game that will produce more than a goal looks like a safe pick.
