Germany will be looking to sealed their qualification to Russia by recording another win tonight when they welcome the Norwegian to Germany.
Germany left it late to beat Czech Republic on Friday as Mats Hummels scored the winner with two minutes left on the clock. Germany are now unbeaten in World Cup qualifiers for the past sixteen years and they have won their last thirteen games in a row, keeping clean sheets in nine of those games. They already have five players on two or more goals so plenty of firepower
Norway meanwhile need a miracle to even make the play offs and their 2-0 win on Friday night against Azerbaijan may have been in vain. Norway won’t come into this game with a string away record however after they have lost the last eight on the bounce.
Following the narrow victory in Prague, Germany will aim to get back to their characteristic style – steamrolling the opponent, especially in front of the massive crowd in Stuttgart. Anything less than 3-0 victory would be a surprise, and despite Loew is rotating heavily, German’s national team B squad can compete with any team which was proven at the recent Confederations Cup.
Therefore, i expect Germany to win here by scoring 3 or more goals at full time.
