Manchester United travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side hoping to bounce back from a 1-1 draw at Southampton.

While the Red Devils have picked up four points from their opening two games, they could rue the two points dropped at St Mary’s with their defensive frailties showing again.

Wolves have lost their opening two matches, both 1-0 to European contenders Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur, although performances have been strong under new manager Bruno Lage.

Manchester United will be eager to recover from those lost points at Southampton last Sunday with a victory against Wolves.

The home side have suffered two slender defeats in this current campaign so far, both against strong opposition in Leicester and Tottenham. But Wolves have created their fair share of chances in the matches.

The West Midlanders had 42 goal attempts in their opening two matches and failed to score. This could play into Manchester United’s hands as the Red Devils are stronger going forward than defensively.

If Wolves are struggling to put away their chances, this could lead to a number of clinical United breakaway chances throughout the 90 minutes with Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood and Edinson Cavani all expected to start.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have won three of the past four meetings between the two teams, and we expect the Norwegian manager to get another win on Sunday.
