Zwolle couldn’t do much last time as they were swept away by strong PSV, 4-0 final result. They will now come into this game hoping to take advantage of Sittard’s poor away form and record the maximum points. The host also come here knowing that a win will almost guarantee a Eredivisie status for another season. But they are just two points above their opponent here and must relish the importance of winning this tie. Zwolle have won three of their last four games and a home win today is very likely if their opponents recent form is put into consideration.
Sittard played out a goalless draw against Den Haag last time, though the sending off of José Rodríguez in the first half played a major part as to why they couldn’t win the game. They’ve not been that bad when playing in front of the home crowd where they won six, drew 4 and lost 4 of their home ties. Their major problem comes when playing away from home. They are on a poor streak of six successive defeats on the road and just 2 wins all season. The general form has seen them lost four of their last six, so nothing suggest they will give Zwolle a tough test here.
The previous head to head speaks in favour of the host too, but the most recent head to head saw Sittard cruised to a 3-0 winner in November last year, similar but opposite scoreline is very possible today. All in all, PEC Zwolle should be the team back here.
