Cambuur last encounters ended in a 4-2 disappointing yet thrilling defeat at Telstar. The defeat came just four days after they recorded an emphatic 6-0 win over Jong Ajax. They will now come into this game hoping to return to winning ways against by far the weakest defense in the division. Also this game is utmost crucial to them as they still stands a good chance of reaching the Eerste Divisie Play-offs. They’ve won four out of their last six league games and they’ve really been hitting their stride at the right time of the season.
Jong Utrecht woeful campaign continue last time as they surrendered to a 2-0 defeat against Sparta Rotterdam. The visitors have picked up just one point from their last 15 league matches following a 0-2 home reverse against Almere City on match day 33, and they head to Leeuwarden having drawn three and lost 13 of their 16 away games this term. They’ve conceded league high 81 goals this season and shipping a massive 42 goals in total on the road.
The only little positive from Utrecht games this season is their ability to regularly find the net, but they’ve always been too leaky than they should. Cambuur are the big favourite here but they have conceded in 12 of their last 13 in Leeuwarden, therefore backing a home win and over 2.5 goals makes perfect sense here.
