Welcome to this week’s English Premier League fixture preview for game week 12.
Read on for match previews and prediction tips.
CARDIFF – BRIGHTON
The bluebirds have lost each of their last 11 premier league games so far. Despite winning Fulham they still look very much out of form. Conceding 22 goals in their last 8 league games in which they have lost 7.
The away side on the other hand is trying to stay in the premier league despite the tale of the 2nd season syndrome hovering around them. They have won just 1 of their opening 7 matches. Their 3-2 win over Manchester united turned to be a flash in the pan. The seagulls are not on a run of 3 wins with similar 1-0 score lines, which transcends to keeping 3 consecutive clean sheets.
Both teams don’t look threatening in front of goal so we are expecting a low scoring affair in this one.
PICK
Under 3.5 goals
CRYSTAL PALACE – TOTTENHAM
Tottenham are slowly but surely losing out of the race for the title. Their 3-2 win away to wolves sees them take 4th place in the table coming into this game. With only 5 points separating them from the league leaders they would consider taking maximum points in this fixture.
The visitors have been very impressive on away stats so far and that form would look to continue here.
Palace has lost their last six games against Tottenham only managing to score once against their London neighbors. Their form at home is even worse off, as they have failed to score in 4 of their last 5 games at Selhurst Park.
The hosts have looked really poor recently and Tottenham would easily capitalize on such.
PICK
Away Draw No Bet
LEICESTER – BURNLEY
Leicester make a return to the king power stadium for their first game here after the death of their owner. Last weekend saw them pick up 3 points in his owner and what a boost such a result could be on such a black day. That win saw them end a 3 match winless streak in the league lifting them to the midpoint i.e. 10th position, 4 points away from the top 6.
Burnley on the other hand head here on the back of a disappointing 4-2 loss to West ham. They now have 3 defeats in 3 matches. Their backline which used to be so good has conceded 13 in this short period, I entirety they have conceded 25 so far this season. Away from home it’s even worse for the Clarets as they have conceded 15 goals on 5 trips.
Leicester should make a meal of this fixture and grab maximum points.
PICK
Home to Win Either Half
NEWCASTLE – BOURNEMOUTH
Newcastle ended their winless run last weekend at home to Watford after coming so close on different occasions. However their chances this season look very slim. They have lost 7 of their last 11 games and have scored just 7 goals in total.
The visitors lost their last game to Manchester united last weekend but have been in good form even in the first half of that game. That loss ended their 6 match unbeaten run with them recording 5 wins in those. Their last 2 away matches saw them win Fulham and Watford with consecutive score lines of 3-0 and 4-0.
PICK
Both teams to score
