Here are match fixtures for Carabao Cup as it takes center stage. Most teams would be looking to add a silverware to their shelf. Read on for previews and prediction tips.

Chelsea – Derby county

Maurizio Sarri’s team haven’t lost a game since their poor outing in the community shield at the start of the season. Winning all 3 Europa league fixtures, during which they eliminated Liverpool from the Carabao cup right there in Anfield.

With 11 wins and 3 draws from 14 games the team looks set to go all the way. Last weekend star man Eden Hazard wasn’t even on hand but they went ahead and got the job done. The belgian would most likely not feature on this game too as he is yet to be confirmed fully fit. Derby coach and former Chelsea skipper Frank Lampard would be delighted at this news.

Derby county have made a name for themselves in past years as they have eliminated tough opponents. Just last weekend they held Middlesbrough to a 1-1 stalemate. The visitors are 4 points away from the top . Their goal scoring ability has brought quite a long way as they have scored in 9 of their last 11 away games. Chelsea have conceded in 5 of their last 7 games at Stamford bridge Derby might be able to grab 1 here.

Home win

The hosts would be looking to get back on winning ways after their high flying winning streak was brought to a halt by crystal palace. 2 penalties in either half helped ensure palace got a share of the spoils. Palace became the first side to succeed in taking points of Arsenal since game week 2.

The attack has been very much in lethal form which has helped them get past teams so far. They have now scored 35 times in 14 matches in all competitions. Their defense has been the source of worry as they only been able to manage a clean sheet in 4 matches.

Blackpool head to this clash on the back of a defeat as Fleetwood got 2 past them early on. Although the Seasiders gave a very spirited performance it was enough as they still lost. The visitors have let in a total of 9 goals in their last 5 matches. Away from home they have seen at least 3 in their last 4 games. Goals shouldn’t be in short supply in this match.

Home win and over 1.5 goals

West ham – Tottenham

Days after West ham drew with mourning Leicester they would be looking to give a spirited performance in honour of lives lost on Saturday night. A fortnight ago this fixture in the premier league saw Tottenham runaway with the points thanks to a 2nd half Lamela strike. The player would be hoping for a chance to redeem himself after a chance he missed of Monday cost them 3 points against Manchester City.

Spurs were poor on the night and so did not deserve to take a point from the game. The champions were in total control and dispatched Tottenham quite easily. The visitors would be looking to remain in this competition as their exploits in Europe haven’t been encouraging.

West ham come into this game on a 3 match winless run despite the air of improvement about them. Brighton, Spurs and Leicester getting a drawing in the final stages of their last game all point to their shock win over Manchester United as a mistake.

Both teams seen not less than 3 goals scored in 4 of their last 6 matches conceding a total of 4 goals each. The goals could be very scarce as both teams will be very disciplined at the back.

Under 1.5 goals in 1st half
