ANALYSIS AND MATCH PREVIEW
Salzburg come into this game in fine form and they’ve now gone 24 matches without defeat in all competitions. After winning nine games in a row the Austrian giant had an off day last time in the league as they could only managed a 1-1 draw against Wacker Insbruck, but it doesn’t have effect their league standing as they are on course to cruise to another league title. In the international scene, they are on top of the group after winning their first two games. They were involved in a 5 goal classic in Germany as they beat Leipzig 3-2, thanks to an 89th minute winner from Gulbrandsen, then comfortably dispersed Celtic 3-1 at home in their 2nd game despite going 1-0 down early in that game. This just shows how strong this Austrian side have been and it will take a European giants to stop them now.
Rosenburg on the other hand cannot be proud of their form coming to this game. The Norwegian side have not tasted a win in any of their last four games in all competition, a streak which will most certainly increase this evening. They’ve lost both of their games in the group, a 1-0 defeat against Celtic followed by 3-1 home loss to Leipzig, sitting at the bottom of the table with no hope whatsoever. They are doing well in their domestic league though and it should be expected that will be their focus for now.
