After a very promising start to the season winning three of their first four games, a bad spell of form saw them slipping down the table, but their shock win last time out keeps them in 13th place, level on points with AC Milan.They spent much of last season struggling against the drop, they will be delighted that they’ve got breathing room between themselves and the bottom three this time around. Today, the host will be looking to exploit Frosinone’s woes to further distance themselves away from the red zone.
Frosinone on the other hand come into this game on a back of a hard earned 3-3 draw with Empoli. It was a disappointing result, as Empoli are pretty much in the same boat as them and it was a golden opportunity for them to finally pick up a much needed win in a relegation six-pointer. The Canarini have earned just two points from their opening nine games, and it looks like they are set for a quick return back to Serie B at the end of this season. The visitors needs a huge upturn of results and it doesn’t look like that is happening anytime soon.
Even though the visitors are doing pretty well attacking wise recently, scoring six goals total in their last three games, they still remain the worst defensively, having conceded huge 19 goals in their last six matches. SPAL will be feeling confident about their chances here, especially after the win against Roma. They should record another win here.
