Azerbaijan despite been the better side couldn’t record maximum points in a back to back draw against Kosovo and Malta away from home in their start to the new national league tournament. But they put things in order with a impressive 3-0 victory at Faroe Islands on Thursday. They will now look for similar results to be in good position of qualifying to the next stage of the tournament.
Malta were never going to be considered to qualify from the group and they didn’t disappoint as they’ve failed to respond well to the challenges so far. After three matches played, they have only one point earned and are six points behind leaders Kosovo. Their only point came when they played Azerbaijan at home(1-1), though it’s the visitors who’ll have themselves blame as they had the chances to record a big win but their ineffectiveness cost them the maximum points.
The host will dominate this game from the start against the poor Malta side. Considering they will be playing in front of the home crowd, they should be able to net at least twice which would be enough to earn them crucial 3 points.
