Midtjylland continued their fine form last week with an impressive 4-1 win at Nordsjaelland. They were in control in most of the phases, knowing when to increase the tempo really well. The side now needs a victory in order to keep up with first placed Copenhagen which has three points more over the hosts of today’s game. They’ve beaten Hobro, Vendsyssel, and Nordsjælland in their last three league outings since late September, boasting a great goalscoring form and netting 12 goals along the way.
Brondby almost snatched the league title last season, but they’ve been far from consistent this term as they sit 10 points behind Midtjylland after 13 games played. They took just a point in a home match against Odense last weekend in a 1:1 draw. Overall it wasn’t that offensive game and it only got interesting in the last ten minutes when the hosts took the lead but couldn’t hold onto it. They are now just in the middle of the table and need to improve in order to stay fully competitive and challenge for European spot.
Midtjylland are the favourite here, however, Brondby also has no problems scoring with ease. The visitors do like attacking approach in away matches. Considering all these, backing the host not to lose in a game that will produce at least 2 goals looks like a solid banker pick here.
