Midtjylland won the title in the previous term of Superligaen taking advantage of a number of Brondby’s slip-ups in the final rounds of the season. The first leg was helding to a 1-1 draw but Kleinheiser in the stoppage time pulled off an amazing effort from outside the box to make the difference and help Astana gain advantage ahead of the reverse fixture in Herning.
