Eredivisie Newly promoted side Sittard open the season with a decent result last weekend where they managed to pull out a 1:1 draw at Excelsior. Overall they were better than the opponent, but only once the home team stood playing with a man less in last thirty minutes of the clash.
As a newly promoted side, their sure and only goal is to stay away from the relegation zone. During pre-season matches they didn’t have some encouraging results and looking at the roster’s quality it’s difficult to see them responding in a manner against the current Eredivisie champions.
PSV had already Super Cup finals game against Feyenoord and despite being better they suffered a loss via penalty kicks. In any way, the season-opening game against Utrecht at home went really well as they outplayed the opponent and celebrated 4:0 victory.
The opponent was limited to a defensive role, while their players were very effective in front of goal. The side also awaits Champions League clash against BATE Borisov next Tuesday evening.
Mark van Bommel has no injury worries and has the availability to field up the same squad as in the previous round. Meaning Jong is a striker, with Lozano, Pereiro, and Bergwijn as offensive midfielders.
PSV completely has what it takes to seal the victory in an easy manner here, but i wouldn’t rul;e out the chance of the host contributing to the goals here.
