Bayern Munich take on Hoffenheim later this evening as the German Bundesliga kickoff in style.
It’s all change at Bayern as new coach Niko Kovac is now in charge. The former Croatian international impressed in his two seasons at Eintracht Frankfurt to get the coveted job.
Bayern have brought in four players but all on free transfers and have sold some quality in the likes of Douglas Costa who went to Juventus for £40m and Arturo Vidal was sold to Barcelona. Still they were able to get the talented Leon Goretzka from Schalke and still have at least on paper by far the strongest club in Germany.

It’s difficult to look past Bayern to win this game but they are as low as 1.25 to win. Whilst Bayern have struggled against Hoffenheim in recent years when playing away they have had almost no problems at home. Also, we have two teams who love playing attacking football so goals should not be scarce here. Bayern have scored nine goals in their last two games which includes 5-1 thrashing of Eintracht Frankfurt. The visitors can contribute to the goals too, but it’s very difficult to see them getting anything from this game. At the end if this game, won’t be surprised to see a similar outcome to the last time these two sides met where the Champions triumphed with 5-2 victory.
