Swansea lost 1-0 to Bournemouth in Saturday’s early kick off and are on three match losing streak. Also, they are without a win in 7 matches with their last victory dated back to the beginning of March against another relegation candidate West Ham.
However, 5 of Swansea’s last 7 games are on the road. At home, they have been simply superb since Carlos Carvalhal took over and bagged 4 wins on the bounce before a draw against Everton and narrow 1-0 loss to Chelsea in the most recent one. That is four wins out of the last six home games.
Southampton could have pulled clear ahead in the relegation battle on Saturday, if they haven’t conceded late goal in the 1-1 draw at Everton. However, this make it 5 points from three matches which give them something to fight for the final two games of the season. However, their overall form is extremely poor as only 2 wins came from their last 23 matches.
The bad news for Saints’ fans is that their team will be traveling to Manchester City for the final game of the season. This make it extremely important to win at Swansea tonight.
Luckily for Swansea, their two remaining games at home, their last against another relegation candidate Stoke City.
With the support of their fans and what is at stake, its hard to see the Swans losing all three points here. So will be backing them to at least get a draw tonight.
